Let’s Set a New Standard

Let’s face it. Banner advertising isn’t known for it’s transparency. It’s shrouded by middlemen, demand side platforms, and programmatic auctions. Buying ad space has been made deliberately over-complicated to protect their business interests. This happens at the expense of the publisher’s ad revenue and the reader’s privacy.

Here’s the quick and dirty version: the proliferation of audience targeting has led to the deterioration of privacy online. The script goes something like this. “The more invasive, the better the data. The better the data, the better the targeting. The better the targeting, the better the results.” Rinse and repeat.

Privacy and the internet have turned into oil and water. We can do better.

A Better Way

We are leading the way by demonstrating there’s a better way to do business. Changing the status quo by practicing what we preach. We do so by serving the needs of all three parties: advertiser, publisher, and reader.

  • We offer advertisers direct placements on publisher websites.
  • We do not use audience buying or third-party data.
  • We do not buy, sell, lease, or share data.
  • We do not track user activity beyond ad impressions and clicks.

We believe ad blockers ultimately exacerbate the problem, not solve it. Ad blockers prevent publishers from getting paid for their work. Readers shouldn’t expect publishers to work for free and, if they aren’t willing to pay them themselves, they should let them be paid by advertisers.
