Getting Started

Why buy media from Tectonic Network?
Direct access to major brand websites. We offer a low entry point to ad space that has been previously unreachable for many small and mid-sized companies. We operate on a monthly cadence so there is no long term commitment.

Why monthly?
We keep a monthly cadence to offer advertisers predictability in delivery and budgeting.

What is a batch?
Each month we open Media Buy opportunities based on available ad inventory. Advertisers for the month are considered a batch because they are launched together and all at once.

How are prices set?
Flat rate CPMs.

When will my campaign launch?
1st of the upcoming month.

When do I pay?
Media buys must be paid in full, in advance. All payments must be sent via PayPal.

Does Tectonic Network make the banner creative?
No. All banner creative must be supplied. We will set up a shared folder for uploading your files.

How much traffic will I get?
We cannot guarantee anyone will click on your ad. CPM pricing means you are buying impressions, not clicks.

Will I be able to see my ad on the brand website?
Possibly. There are many factors involved with banner advertising that affect which ad is chosen for every given ad impression opportunity.

How do I know counts are accurate?
Ad serving verification and real-time reporting via dynamic feed. You’ll receive access links to both of these systems upon launching.

Can I use a third-party ad server?
We do accept third-party ad tags from Google’s list of certified third-party vendors.

Can I run video ads?
Yes, we support HTML5 video banners. All banners must comply with creative guidelines.

How will I receive reporting?
Data Studio is a product of Google Marketing Platform. It provides real-time reporting for your campaign.

What metrics do you provide for a campaign?
We will send a link to a Data Studio report on or around your launch date. The report includes metrics like impressions, clicks, click-through rate (CTR), cost, and view rate.

How will my campaign be paced?
Evenly throughout the month. It is possible for under or over-delivery to occur.
—> In the event of under-delivery, we will issue a one-time credit for future campaigns.
—> In the event of over-delivery, there will be no additional charges.

Do websites and/or brands ever change?
Yes, check back monthly for up-to-date information regarding opportunities.

Can I stop my campaign before the end of the month?
No. Media buys are committed to running for the entire month.

Can I extend my campaign?
Yes. A new IO will be assigned each month for recordkeeping.

Are TN campaigns compliant with General Data Protection Rules (GDPR)?
Yes, are compliant with GDPR. We never collect, buy, sell, or use any personal information.

Do you offer targeting options (ex. device, geographic, browser)?
No. Campaigns are set to deliver your ad to all visitors of a website.

Will I be assigned a dedicated account representative?
No.

Do you offer custom reporting?
No.

Do you offer discounts?
No.

Can I change creative mid-month?
No.

Can I run multiple ads in the same month?
Yes. However, all ad creative must be sent prior to launch.

Can I exclude certain visitors?
No. Campaigns are set to deliver your ad to all visitors of a website.

What is Tectonic Network?
Direct access to ad inventory on the websites of top brands. Discover and buy the best inventory, served fresh each month. We make media planning and buying more efficient.

Who owns Tectonic Network?
Tectonic Network is independently owned and operated by Getz Ventures LLC.

How does Tectonic Network make money?
We have a margin on our media buys that covers the work involved with set up, ad trafficking, and reporting.

Does TN offer a performance guarantee?
No, we cannot promise your campaign will perform well. Good advertising connects with people and presents a compelling reason to engage.

What type of campaign is best for Tectonic Network?
Raising awareness about a company, product, or service. The ad should be relevant to the readership of the brand website in your selected media buy.

Do you ever sell out?
Yes, we do. Unlike other networks; our model is to sell each media buy once to a single advertiser. One media buy, one advertiser. When all media buys are sold, we are sold out for the month.

Do you accept credit cards and debit cards?
Yes, but only via PayPal. Read more about How to Buy.

Does TN offer invoicing?
Yes, after six consecutive months of payment history.

Does TN save or share my financial details?
No. We use PayPal so that we never have to handle your credit card information. PayPal does not share your financial details.

Does TN offer a self-serve platform?
Not currently.

Do you frequency cap?
Yes, we use a standard frequency cap of 12 impressions per user per month.

Can I buy keywords, audiences, or placements?
No.

Do you offer retargeting?
No.

Do you offer Facebook Ads?
No.

Does Tectonic Network have a media kit?
No. All media buys and pricing can be found on the Advertise page.

Does Tectonic Network offer conversion tracking?
Yes, we can provide conversion tracking pixels. Media buyer is responsible for implementation.

What is your DSP platform?
We currently use Display & Video 360 in tandem with Campaign Manager. Both are products of Google Marketing Platform.

Is Tectonic Network hiring?
We are not hiring at this time.

Does Tectonic Network work with agencies?
Yes. However, we do not offer any discounts.

Glossary

What is CPM?
Cost-per-thousand impressions. All pricing on Tectonic Network is a flat CPM.

What is Automated Guaranteed?
A type of transaction in programmatic media buying where price is fixed and inventory is reserved.

What is MAF?
We use a standard Media Authorization Form (MAF) to prevent fraud and misunderstandings.
